APLIKUS-VET is a combined preparation for local use based on methylsilicic acid hydrogel with immobilized copper ions, has adsorption and bactericidal properties. APLIKUS-VET is active against pathogenic gram-positive and gram-negative strains of microorganisms.
Thanks to its sorption properties, the drug binds toxic waste products of microorganisms, low molecular weight toxic metabolites in tissues (pyruvic and malic acids, peroxide compounds, oxidation products of amino acids, polypeptides, lipids, etc.), fibrin degradation products. The drug reduces the manifestations of local and general intoxication and exerts bactericidal, drainage and anti-edematous effects, normalizes microcirculation, gas exchange and pH of the environment in the wound, helps to reduce the number of macrophages and granulocytes. As a result of cleaning the wound from the products of exudation and tissue decay, reducing local inflammatory reactions and stimulating the growth of granulation tissue, the drug improves the healing process and prevents the formation of keloid scars.
